She had, however, left me a consolation prize: I could lick the bowl. “You’re welcome to photograph me making that,” she said. Of course, being a brat, I whined: “Why didn’t you wait?” She replied that she didn’t know how long I’d be taking photos of the card and she had other important things to do, such as baking another pie-this one apple.
